Nabywcą okazuje się być Walden Schmidt, nieszczęśliwie zakochany miliarder. Kiedy Alan odwodzi go od samobójstwa, Walden rewanżuje się pozwalając Alanowi i jego synowi wrócić na stare śmieci.
